Mark Forbes appointed to IWA Committee
The Australian water industry welcomes the appointment of Mr. Mark Forbes to the Australian Committee of the International Water Association (IWA).

With over three decades of experience in water and membrane technologies, Mr. Forbes brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success in the field. Having begun his career as a research chemist, Mr. Forbes quickly transitioned into the water and membrane industries, where he has held prominent senior positions in Australia, the UK, and the USA. With his extensive international experience, he has contributed significantly to numerous projects encompassing water treatment, wastewater management, food and beverage, and municipal solids waste industries.
Having served as director of the Australian Water Industry Alliance and a member of both the Australian Water Association and the International Water Association, Mark has actively engaged with various organisations dedicated to advancing water-related initiatives. Additionally, his prior involvement with the International Desalination Association further solidifies his commitment to exploring innovative solutions for water scarcity challenges.
Collaborating closely with the IWA and its global network of water professionals, Mr. Forbes aims to leverage his experience and insights to support the development of initiatives that benefit not only IWA and AWA members but also the broader Australian community.
